The Daily Star may be the biggest circulating British daily Newspaper in Bangladesh. Established by Syed Mohammed Ali in 14 the month of January 1991, the newspaper is possessed by Mediastar a venture from the Transcom Group, headed by Latifur Rahman. Transcom also is the owner of the biggest circulating Bengali daily newspaper Prothom Alo, a trend that's then other major industrial groups in Bangladesh, because the Jamuna Group runs Jugantor, the Hamim Group runs Samakal and also the Globe Group Janakantha.
